For the longest time I assumed “Digital Nomad” (i.e. working from anywhere) was one of the words that evolved in the public consciousness. Turns out it came from some Japanese guy who predicted an untethered world back as early as 1997 in his book “Digital Nomad”.
According to Makimoto (the author) a new generation of workers would emerge who’d trade their boring fixed offices for a life of wanderlust.
Anyway, I digress – the article linked below provides a heads up on how this lifestyle is possible from pretty much anywhere there’s an internet connection.
